Things have changed…Washington, which used to be a “Reciprocal State” as far as Wine Shipments…is no longer!

and some states now require high licensing fees to ship into their states…

we’re checking on how we can become more “shipping compliant” without having to pay thousands $$$ in Compliance fees.

Various state by state shipping laws are changing rapidly, and some seem to be moving, once again, into a bit of a Draconian nature…in other words, shipping to other states has become, for some states, much more difficult and/or expensive.

 

We’re working on possibly expanding with an online catalog.  With our new web site, we should have a growing list of items and wines/beers/champagne/port/sherry/vermouths etc. we will have available to order and have either shipped directly to you, or to your gift recipient, or we can have it sent to our retail store for pick up.

For now, however, Call or email your requests the old-fashioned way, and we will fill your orders and ship them as soon as possible.

Age Requirement

The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through us, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order

Ownership

By placing an order for delivery to you, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you. Alcoholic beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years old and by placing your order with us, you represent and warrant to us that you are at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom delivery will be made is also at least 21 years of age to accept delivery.

By ordering your agree to indemnify and hold harmless the seller for any resulting consequence or a fraudulent order or any misrepresentation as to the age or legal ability of any intended recipient to receive shipment of alcoholic beverages.

If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. Because of this, we suggest you ship to a work address. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses.

Please note that some states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states. We can only ship alcoholic beverages to, and it may be more complicated or impossible now!

Legal Disclaimer

During summer & winter months, spoilage in transit is NOT covered, EVEN if you had elected two-day, overnight shipping or have the wine insured. Shipments are only covered for loss, theft, or breakage during shipping. If you are concerned about heat spoilage during summer or freezing winter months, please consider our free summer & winter storage. We do not guarantee the quality of the wine in the bottles. Wine, especially older wine, is susceptible to age, spoilage, and heat damage. We do our best to describe the condition of the bottles when we inspect them, but do not guarantee the quality of the wine.

Returns & Order Modifications

Returns: All requests for returns or cancellations must be made within three days of the invoice date, no exceptions. Because of fees charged to us by credit card companies upon placing your order, we will required a reimbursement for such fees if we have not shipped your order. If we shipped your order we will require a 15% restocking fee to cover our shipping and credit card expenses. Please check your order carefully before paying for your order.

Order Modifications: If you decide to either add or your order or omit part of your order before we shipped, please send us a quick email letting us know. We will be more than happy to add or modify your order accordingly.

Conditions of Sale

Every attempt has been made to describe all property as accurately as possible. The Wine Seller® does not warrant or represent, and deny responsibility for, the accuracy of said wine descriptions, encompassing but not limited to vintage, provenance, authenticity, quality and condition as may be stated in our website. The buyer accepts all purchases “as is”. Notwithstanding any other terms of these Conditions of Sale. Should The Wine Seller® receive any written claims within 21 calendar days of the purchase that any order is with a shortage, ullaged (wine has evaporated down the neck or shoulder of the bottle over time, or actually leaked out) or otherwise out of condition we will not be responsible for any part or whole of the order. The Wine Seller® will judge any claim through inspection of the wine or by any other just means. At all times the decision of The Wine Seller® will be final and binding.

Sales Tax and Direct Shipping Tax

Sales Tax: All wines are sold in the state of
Washington and the title passes to the buyer in Washington state. All purchases
shipped to a Washington State address will be subjected to 9% sales tax.
