October 16th: Aussie Wines with Matt McCleary of Noble Wines. Matt is another veteran of the Wine Seller's Wine Tasting series. Details of which wines to be featured are being worked out. Keep the date booked though its sure to be worth it.

Past 2008 tasting's:

April 21st: We experienced a 3 year vertical of one of the world's finest Chateauneuf du Pape wines, Chateau de Beaucastel, 2004, 2005( #8 on the Wine Spectator's Top 100) and 2006. All 3 wines have garnered mid to upper 90's scores from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker. Chateau De Beaucastel is very tightly allocated, and they all sell for over $100/btl. Also featured where 3 other Rhone styled domestic blends in another flight, one or two from Beaucastel's Paso Robles winery, "Tablas Creek". The event was wonderful, where else can you taste a 3 year vertical of one of the world's top Chateauneuf du Pape wines, along with some of this historic winery's other wines too.

Friday, April 17th:"OLD WORLD" BORDEAUX, vs. "NEW WORLD" BORDEAUX-STYLE" BLENDS.  The 5 varietals of Real French Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon; Merlot; Cabernet Franc; Malbec and Petite Verdot.

Friday, May 1st: "Mutt Reds" those lovely iconoclastic blends that are neither a "Bordeaux Blend", a "Tuscan or Rhone Blend" either. Instead, there are a whole new generation of tasty, well made blended reds that may have grape varieties from any or all of these classic varietals. Let's taste these "Mutts" and see if a few just happen to follow you home.

Friday, May 15th:& New Zealand Wines.  While we have had wines from New Zealand in some of our other tasting's, we may never have done just a focus on their wines exclusively. So WINE NOT...?  Some of the world's greatest and most "varietaly correct" Sauvignon Blancs, some lovely Pinot Noirs, and even some Merlots and Bordeaux-Style Blends.  Regions like Marlborough, Martinborough, and Nelson.

Friday, June 5th: Spanish Wines. From Rioja to Riera del Deuro, and Rueda to Albarino...Spain is HOT right now! Some terrific and fascinating wines. Garnacha (called Grenache in France) Jumilla Reds, made from the Monastrell.

Friday, June 19th: ZIN-CITY REVISITED, The Reds of Summer, perfect for BBQ's etc. BIG, BOLD, RICH RIPE, HEADY, and HEDONISTIC Zinfandels. This is the last of the scheduled Friday night Wine Tasting Series till October. But we may have special events, check back.
