In the cheese cooler
Fresh supplies of Mt. Townsend Creamery's Cheese, Seastack, Cirrus and Trailhead.
The Wine Seller carries some wonderful cheese, besides the great stuff from our
local Mt. Townsend Creamery (Seastack; Cirrus; Trailhead and the new one.."New
Moon") We generally keep an interesting and delicious array of some of
our other favorite, which we also feature at our Wine Tasting's! Cheeses such
as Cambazola (that luscious German hybrid of Camembert and Gorganzola) ; Delice
de Bourgogne (unbelievably DEE-licious triple cream French ripened cheese..and
they don't call it "Delice" for nothin).
The
Wine Seller also keeps another of our French faves: FLEUR DES ALPES "La
Tournette", a
gorgeous little wheel of rinded/ripened (mildly and wonderfully stinky) cheese
that makes most red wines just taste better, when combined with this little French
gem of a cheese.
Vermont Cheddar in black wax coated 8 oz. wheels (the cheese
is white, not orange) and we also generally keep a few tins of that other famous
white cheddar from Washington State University: "COUGAR GOLD"; some
Gouda cheeses, including real Dutch stuff, and the aged "Rembrandt" version,
as well as some small domestic wheels in red wax. We have some Greek FETA cheese
in, some Danish Havarti, And another of our all time faves, both for eating and
cooking with: COMTE', (The King of Gruyere cheeses) . the Wine Seller usually
keeps a some liver pate' with Truffles around, and some Salmon Caviar too. Salami
and a nice assortment of crackers, including those lovely PANZANELLA crackers.
We can also order larger wheels and wedges for your parties or entertaining.
Just let us know by around a week before you need stuff, and we will be happy
to order in the cheese and meats for you!
Finish this food array off with a nice
assortment of CHOCOLATES from Lindt and Seattle Chocolates, and others...some
imported jams and jellies...some exotic mustards...SMOKED SALMON from Alaska
Smokehouse in Woodinville, (some in Wooden gift boxes, all vacuum packed to stay
fresh until you are ready to eat it!) We also carry Thomas Kemper SODA, and an
assortment of bottled waters too, such as TALKING RAIN, and PELLIGRINO.
Last but not least in the cheese cooler "Bleu de Causse", a fabulous French Blue Cheese, made from cow's milk, but has a similar flavor and texture to Roquefort cheese(which is made from Sheep's milk) , and Bleu de Causse is around 1/2 the price of Real Roquefort!
The Wine Seller tries to keep our cheese prices quite reasonable, and we've been told by some of our "price conscious customers" (and aren't we all...?) that we are generally less per pound than QFC and Safeway on cheese we all carry
